THE CURRENCY PROBLEM.
■ ♦ BRITAIN DEFINITELY STANDS OUT OF THE CONVENTION. [PBESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received October 23, 9.55 a.m.) London, 22nd October. Great Britain has definitely declined to join in the International Convention regarding the currency question and bimetallism. In doing so the Government declares that at the same time Britain is equally interested with the United States and Prance in securing a stable par of exchange.
