Further telegrams received from British Columbia, describing the recent gold discoveries in the Klondike d\s.trict, btute that the auriferous deposits are said to be euorraous. The district is described as the most desolate mining camp in the world. Ottawa, 23rd July. Miners who have returned from the .scene of the rich gold discoveries in British Columbia state that the gold belt extends 300 miles along the river Yukon and its tributaries, and that the country is fairly reeking with gold» ■ (Received July 24, 10 a.m.) Ottawa, 23rd July. A remarkable rush is taking place to Klondike from Colorado, CalifornH, and Montana. Experienced men urge that mining operations be delayed until the spriug.
