MISHAP TO THE CORINNA.
liaxfiv, 23rd July The Corinna arrived in port about 5 o'clock this evening, having left Lyttelton at 7 pm yesterday. She broke her crank shaft at /in early hour this morning when about 52 miles off Timaru. The steamer came on almost ut dead slow to Timaru, and was fortunately berthed just as a heavy south-west squall swept the harbour. She had a narrow escape of colliding with a dredge which was off the entrance. She is expected to be able to go on Sonth in the morning *
