THE SENTENCE CARRIED OUT. Christchurch, This Day.

William Sheehan, the murderer of Miss Agnes Liwcock'at Amberley, was executed at Lyttelton Gaol this morning. The arrangements were carried out without a hitch, death being instantaneous. The murderer was very calm, and exhibited little or no emotion from the time he emerged from the cell till he stood on the gallows.
