The annual meeting of residents to receive the report of the Trust Lands Trustees was held last night. The report, showing an income for the year of nearly £900, was adopted. A man named Macdonald was arrested yesterday on a warrant issued from Wellington, charging him with stealing goods of the value of £23 from Ellen Williams, a second-hand dealer in Courtenay-place. Mr. F. Pearce's well-known racehorse Cyrus II has died at Castlepoint from inflammation.
