The cricket match Victoria v. South Australia was commenced to-day in favourable weather and on a perfect wicket. i The local men won the toss, and batted, and when slumps were drawn had lost nine wickets for 335. The principal scores were : — M'Leod, 32 ; H. Trott, 45 ; Layer, 27 ; Roohe, 29 ; O'Halloran, not out, 117 ; Johns, not out. 50. The match played at Waiwetu yesterday between the Loyal Antipodean and Loyal Wellington Juvenile Lodges of Oddfellows resulted in a victory for the Antipodeans by an innings and two runs. The scores were — "Wellington, 35 and 20 ; Antipodean, 57.
