A COLONIAL FACTORY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER.
* [PBEBB ASSOCIATION.] London, 30th December. Some little time ago a proposal was j mooted in Melbourne to establish a factory for the manufacture of cordite or smokeless powder, and a recommendation in favour of the idea was mad' in the report presented by the Military O .anandants of the colonies ai the result of their recent conference. Nobel's Explosive Company has now intimated its willingness to establish such a factory in Melbourne.
