QUEENSLAND RAISING A LOAN.
* r[PBESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received November 28, 11 ajn.) Bbisbane, This Day. The Premier has announced the intention of the Government to raise a loan of £2,324,000 to meet the appropriations for public works. The stock will bear interest at 31 per cent. There is no hurry for the money except the possibility of anything going wrong by reason of a European war or some such contingency. ' The Treasury is in an exceedingly healthy state, and does not expect to place more than a million and a half of the loan in London, the rest being raised locally.
