Royal Burlesque and Gaiety Company.
The Royal Burlesque and Gaiety Company produood the musical extravaganza of c " Blue-eyed Susan" at the Opera House for a the first time hut evening. There was a t large audience. " Blue-eyed Susan " is the f best thing the oompany has staged daring c its present season. The dresses are good, & and the musio is light and sparkling, c Miss Ada Lempriere made a vivacious Susan, Mr. Peroy St. John appeared as Captain Crosstree, and acquitted himself with credit, and Mr. T. C. Franois made a an exoellont Lord High Admiral. Numerous songs were sung, and most of them were [ appreciated, enoores being frequent. The vocal contributions of little Hisß Addie r Favart were well reoeived, as were also a couple of her' danoes. The "Trilby" ballet and Mons. Abosaleh'B gun-spinning J aot were repeated, and the Primrose . ballet, in whioh six dancers took part, was performed for the first time with considerable Bnooess. Miss Blanohe Wilmot was enoored for her singing of " Bid Me £ Love." A feature of the entertainment was Mr. Cambonrne's excellent imitation of the sounds made by various birds and animals, Mr. Will .Stevens oreated roars of laughter f by his droll Bayings and oomio ditties, j "Blue-eyed Susan" will be repeated to. a night. To-morrow afternoon there will be a performance of " Aladdin," for the oon- ,. venienoe of ohildren.
