SETTLEMENT OF A VEXED QUESTION.
♦ The Hon. Mr. Carroll has returned from Greytown, where he arranged with the Maori owners of the Wairarapa Lake to part with their interests to the Crown, and so put an end to the vexed question of the Lake outlet. The matter is to be ooußidered further at the Native Land Court at Greytown on the 15th instant.
