The charges on wbioh Juboz Balfour, Brook, and Theobald have been convicted are in connection with the Laudß Allotment Company, for issuing false reportsand cooked balance sheets. The defence wai that values had to be altered, owintf to depression in trade. Five other charges have yet to be heard.
