♦— The annual meeting of the Petone United Crioket Club was held on Saturday evening, ' Mr Haigh in the ohair. The report showed that out of 25 matches played during the past season the olnb won 16 and lost eight, while one was drawn, Trophies were allotted as follows I— Dr. Newman's, for 1 fielding, to J. Banmber ; Mr. T. J. LeighI ton's, for batting, to H. Arnold (average, 1868) ; Mr. A. W. Broadway's, for bowling, to A. Pioken (average, 3*59) ; Speight and Co.V, for general profioienoy, to S. Brico. The Committee expressed deep regret at the death of its late President, Dr. A. M. Whitehead, and extended sympathy to hia family. Officers were eleoted as follows :— Patron, Dr. Newman, M H.R. ; President, 1 Dr. Hislop ; Vice- Presidents, Messrs. R. C. • Kirk, T. M. Wilford, G. London, T. Oxenham, T. J. Leigh ton, and Dr. Scanlan ; Captain, H. J. Wynyard ; Vice-Captain, A. 1 Pioken ; Treasurer, W. Inglis ; Seorotary, 1 S. Brioe; Committee, Messrs. Broadway, ; Dixon, Farqnharson, Preist, Haigh, Matson, and Turner ; Matoh Committee, Messrs. Haigh, Matson, and Wynyard. Thirteen new members were eleoted.
