Lieutenant Warren, who haa aotod aa lieutenant.oommanding of the D Battery for aome time oast, has now been elected Captain. The Government inspection of the Battery wacbdo^at- Mount Cook Drillshed last evening.- 45 of all ranks being present, under Captain Warren and Lieutenant Bolleston." The Battery wa. first exeroised in aiming and position drill by the various Bergeanta, and afterwards in dismounted drill under Captain Warren and Lieutenant Bolleston. In consequence of the Drillshed being nsed for the Thorndon Carnival the Wellington Najala p'arade'thia evening at Mount Cpok for inspection by Lieutenant-Colonel Newall. It is expected there will be a maroh-out of the company if the weather ia fine.
