BRITISH SHAREHOLDERS AVERSE TO RE-FORMING. frRSSB ASSOCIATION ] (Reoeived August 24, 10.30 a.m.) London, 23rd August. The London and Scottish Committees of the City of Melbourne Bank have unanimously decided that it is not desirable to re-form tho Bank, and resolved to press for compulsory liquidation. This decision they say was arrivod at after fully disonßßing the cable messages received from Melbourne respecting the assets of the oompany. It is thought probable that Mr. Loader, Chairman of the Melbourne Board, will return to the colony immediately.
