An analysis has been made of the stomach of Mr. Copp, ohetnisf, former employer of the man Butler, reoently sentenoed for his part in the noted 'oouspiraoy. Mr. Copp died somewhat mysteriously, and his body was exhumed in order that it might be determined whether poison had caused his death. The Government Analyst has failed, however, to find any traces of poison. , Hobabt, 23rd August. The Land Tax Bill has pasped, its second reading in the Legislative Assembly by a majority of six. The annual report of the Savings Bank shows that during the year the number of depositors increased by 2186, the amount depositrd was .£1,420,000, and the amount withdrawn .£1,280,000 The total funds at the end of the year were -£2,792,000.
