Carbonic aoid gas is being introduced into the burning mine at Broken Hill at the rate of 7,500,003 cubic feet per day, so far with no appreciable effect. The Bmoke is nndiminished, and the fire is now olose to the richest ore supplies of the great Proprietary Mine If it continnea to spread the supply of oxidised ore will be soon out off and great inconvenience cansed. All men have been withdrawn Bince oirbonic aoid gas began to be used.
