At a meeting of the Anokland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, tbe question of Hospital management and discipline again came np for discussion, several hours beinp devoted to the snbjeot. The unb-eommittee'n report on the internal management of the institution was apaii considered. Tbe clause requiring the dumissal of all the charge rmrses in order to enable the new Medical Superintendent to ohooso his own staff, was rejeoted, and the clause referring t;> ilin consumption o' stimulants atd meuical oomforts by memberi of the Board was amended by striking ont the words—" This is necessary because on occasion stimulants have been supplied to members of the Board, of which no record ha 3 been mode, while the annual supply statements wonld show that all the nlooholio liqnors had been used for patients " Some other clauses were either Btruek out or amended. The resignation of Nurso Edwards was accepted with regret. Nurse Banbnry also sent in her resignation. A letter received by tbe Chairman from Dr. Makgill was left for future consideration. Jt oonoludea as follows :—" Unless the Board honestly carry out the reasonable proposals of Mr. Bollard to leave the internal management completely to the future Medical i-'uprrintendent, the position will be no better than it is at present, as there is plenty to occupy one's attention in the building without being hampered by outside interference."
