There were about 70 householders present, nearly half of whom were ladies. Mr. W Allan was voted to the ohair. Mr. A. j Bennett (Secretary) explained that as the Chairman of the Committee (Mr. S. Prowse) was abßent, no written report of the past year's operations was available. He, however, submitted a statement showing the financial position of the school, which read as follows:—General Fund—Beceipts, with balance from last year, £128 Is 4d; balance ij bank, £6 14?. Recreation and Pionin Fund—Receipts from exhibition and volun- ■ ary subscriptions, after paying all expenses, £55 9sßd; receipts at picnic, £5 3s; total, £60 12s Bd. Expenditure—Donations to literary, cricket, and football clubs, swimming sports, and picnic, £42 Ss Id—leaving a balance to credit of the fund of £18 9s 7d A discussion took place bearing on the absence of the Chairman of the Committee and no report being to hand, after* whioh the meeting proceeded to the eleotion of a new Committee. Thirteen householders were proposed, and Messrs. A. J. Bennett, F. G. Petheriok, L. Wilson, W. J Lankebenr J. Keith, W. Biggs, W. Jennings, A. Geary! and W. Thompson were elected. Mr. O. Watson, the Head Teacher, gave a short report of the paat year's school work. At o meeting of the newly-eleoted Committee, Mr. Pethenck was chosen Chairman. The election of Secretary was deferred.
