[BY ELKCTBIC TELEGRAPH. — COPTBIGHT.] f UNITED PRESS ABBOCIATION. I Capetown, 15th September. The yearly output of wine for the colony has decreased to 4,000,000 gallons, and the drop is attributed to the prevalence of phylloxera. It is reported that a syndicate has purchased a port m Delagoa Hay on behalf of the Transvaal, thus pivinjr the latter a commanding position in South Africa, and baffling the plans of Mr Tecil Rhodes. Tho purchasers, however, deny that they are acting for the Transvaal or anyone else.
