By tbia means the colouy would bo savod .£137,000 annually, and Dunedin alone £ 10,000, aftor providing a sinking fund of 1 per oent. The Committco proposes economios and alterations in charges to enable tho Board to incur expenditure with tho objoot of inoreasing the depth of tho channel to 21ft at low water.
