Hundreds of acres of grass have been destroyed, and fenoes, and in many cases stock, were burnt. b ain fell during the evening and yesterday, and danger to tattlers' houses is' now averted. Masterton, This Dat. Bush fires at Eketahuna placed soveral houses in danger on Saturday. Exceedingly rough and wet weather is now being experienced.
