THE VOLUNTEERS.
Tbe officer commanding the district has notified all corps that the Polhill Gully range is closed for the purpose of repairs. The present markers' butts are to be pulled down and new ones ereoted. At the same time steps will probably be taken to improve the firing points, erect shelter sheds, and make matters more pleasant for the shooting men A battalion parade of the City Rifle corps is ordered for tbis evening, at 7.30, for instruction in the new infantry drill.
