Wallace, was carried unanimously : — " That this Council is muoh gratified to observe the growth of publio opinion in favour of the Temperanoe movement, and is in sympathy with the effort to secure for the people power to veto tho liquor traffic by direot veto at the ballot-box, and it further urges electors throughout the colony to take full advantage of the Alcoholics Liquors Sale Control Aot."
