THE NEW ZEALAND FOOTBALL REPRESENTATIVES.

Although our football representatives have, through no fault of thoir own, made an unfortunate Btart upon their tour, we aro suro they carry with them the best wishes of tho colony as a whole. They may not bo the best possible combination Now Zealand could have supplied had a spirit of colonial unity prevailed, instead of a miserable local jealousy on the part of Otago and North Canterbury, but still the team is a fairly good one, and may, we believe, be safely entrusted with the task of upholding the honour of New Zealand in New South Wales and Queensland, both on and off the football field. Wo hope thoy may return crowned with victory.
