AQUATICS. LYTTELTON REGATTA. [ By Telegraph.] [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Lyttelton, This Day.

The 41st annual regatta was held at Lyttelton yosterday. A well - arranged sub-marine explosion, by which an old brig was blown up, was amongst the sid.e . shows. Owing to tho absence of foreign contestants in the champion yacht races, they resulted in each instance in a sail-over. The Mascotte sailed over the coarse for the first class, and tbe Oaaire for the second. The races for 2£-raters were well contested, the former being won by Mr. J. H. Collins' Kaiora, and the latter by Mr. Blakeloy's Queen Mab from the other contestants. The Lyttelton Rowing Club won the Senior Pairs and Youths' Pairs and Sculls, and was second in !,the Senior Sculls and Single Soulls. The Union won the Senior Soulls and Single Sculls, and the Little River orew the two maiden races.
