Pahiatua, This Dat. A man named John Thompson, a carpenter, dropped down dead this morning, at 11 o'clock, in Sullivan and Corby's yard. Ho was doing a small contract for the proprietor of the Commercial Hotel. His death is supposed to be due to syncope. An inquest will be held.

Deceased was spending his holiday in Dunedin. At the inquest on tho young man David O'Connor, supposed to have died from influenza, the medical evidence showed thai; death was duo to heart disease accelerated by Bright's disease. Charles M'Lcan, a miner, from Waipori, died very suddenly yesterday, apparently from internal inflammation. Chbibtchubch. Thts Day. Percy Abbott was drowned in a tub at the back of his parents' residence. The tub contained only 5£ inches water.
