HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Dr. Newman presented a petition from Wm. M'Ginity for a jjrant of land for military •services. Mr. Fishor gave notico of a motion to sot nip a Select Committee to enquire into tho administration of tho Bankruptcy Act. Mr. Moredith gavo notioo to ask for a Royal Commission to onquire into all endowments given to tho various religious bodies sinco the earliest days of the colony, for tho purpose of discovering if they aro applied to tho objects for which they were granted. Roplying to Mr. M'Gnire, the Premier again stated that he was willing to refer the Now Plymouth Harbour claims to the Public Accounts Committee, but would not set up any other Committee. Mr. M'Guiro moved tho adjournment of the House to discuss tho matter, and a long dobate followed. [Loft sitting.]
