Well known as n. writer of political test books ; cntorod Parliament in 1883 ; was a prominent mombor of tho London School Board for Bovoral years. Undor-Seorotary for Homo Dopartuiout, instead of Financial Seorotary for War— Mr. Horbort Gladstone. Under - Secrotary for War — Lord Sandhurst. A Lord-in-Waiting, 1880-85 ; Undersecretary for War, 1886. Under-Seorotary Board of Trado— Mr. T. Burt. Has sat in Parliament sinco 1574; is Secretary of the Northumberland Minors' Union, and a practical coal minor ; President of tho Minors' National Association, and a strong Temporanoo advocate. Under-Secrotary Local Government Board —Tho cablo gives this office to Mr. W. Foster, but no such person has Bat in either of the last two Parliaments. Probably tho office is hold by Sir B. W. Foster, M.D., a member of tho Birmingham Town Counoil, Profossor of Medicine in Queen's Collogr, and somo time ago President of the British Mcdioal Association. He was knighted in 1886. Is known as a medical and scientific writer. Undai-Seoretary for India— Mr. G. "\V. Enssell. Was Socrotary to the Local Government Board for a time in 1885. Did not sib in last Parliament. Comptroller of tho Honsoholn— Hon. G. Loveson-Gowor. Was a Junior Lord of the Treasury in 1886. Not in last Parliament. Lord Chamberlain — Lord Carringtan.
