At tho last committee meoting of th<r Agricultural and Pastoral Association, a resolution was passod requesting tho Govornmout and other associations to takestops to provent tho importation of Btock from placos where foot and month disoaso was provftlont. The Association roooived a reply yesterday from tho Govornmont ; stating that Ministers could not sco their way to move in the matter, tho examination previous to shipment and tho rigid quarantine observed in New Zoaland being considered quite sufficient to prevent the discaso obtaining a hold, in the colony. Tho Egmont A. and P. Association roplicd to fho same effect.
