Petone Martini -Henry Rifle Club.
A goneral competition was hold on Saturday for Mr. Bennett' b and ammunition prizes. B Class also counted thoir scores for Messrs. Wilkie's and Holloway's trophies. A very strong nor'-woßter which blew across the range did not improve the shooting. Mr. Turner won Mr. Bennett's . prize 1 , and Messrs. Ward and Curtis got logs-in for tho B Class trophies. The ranges wore 200, 300, and 500 yards, five shots at each. Following are tho highest scores : — 200 300 500 H'p. Tl J. Tumor ... 20 17 20 scr —57 , F. Ward* .. 19 12 20 G— 57 A. J.
