The Rev. Peter Mason, 8.A., Presbyterian minister, who has been for many years resident in Auckland, died suddenly to-night. This Dat. The sudden death of the Rev. Peter Mason was dne to a stroke of paralysis. He was unconscious till his death. The deceased preached occasionally, but for many years has been engaged in school teaching. He had no ministerial charge for the last 20 years. Dunedin, 14th October. William Matheson, a ploughman at Otahu station, Waiau distrust, was thrown from a young horse yesterday, and received injuries which proved fatal. His family reside at Woodeud.
