Tho annual report, a summary dt which has already boon published, was road, »c was also tho bftl&ncoslioot, which was of a satisfactory character. The Chairman, in moving tho adoption c£ the report and balance-sheet,, congratnlatcdl numbers on the sound financial condition oC the dab, and expressed rogret tint Messrs. A. E. Meek and T. S. A hearty voto of thanks win passod to MessrsMeok and Eonaldson for' their services. The Secretary was' instructed to write toMr. W. H. Levin, the lato President, now in England; and express tho club's indebted- ' ness for ' past services.' Twenty-two now members woro" elected. A discussion took place relativo to an additional praotioo ground, and the Presidont promised to assist any movement with that object m viow. Tho newly -elected Presidont (Mr. D., J.Nathan) intimated his intention of prcsonting a trophy, to bo disposed of as 'tho Committee think fit. Mr. T. Coltmau promised a trophy for the highoat aggregate in tho senior batting j Messrs. Davis and Clator a trophy for tlio best aggregate bowlor and batsmen in tho club daring tho soaßon ; Mr. B. Lynch a priue for tbo host avorago secured by a bowler in the Junior Cup ; and Messrs. Jones and Ashdowi a trophy for tho. highest batting aggregate. A vote of thanks, having been passed to the donors of tlio trophies, and to tho Chairmrui, tho meeting terminated. MIDLAND CLUB. About 20 members wore present at a special gonoral meoting of the Midland Club in the Pier Hotel last evening. It was stated that the subscriptions in tvrrear are larger than usnal, and, in order to moot pressing requirements, a volnnta."y subscription was opened, tho appeal being liberally responded to. Several new members wero elected, and it was dcoid ti to hold tho annual general meeting noxt -n 'flck.
