TO THE EDITOR. Sir— l see by your paper that tho Union Companyarogivingcheap trips to Melbourne, Hobart, and Sydney for winter excursions. Could thoy not sco thoir waj clear to givo cheap trips by their boats to Auckland, tmi Northern ports, and Dunedin, uiaLyttelton, and allow paßsengors to break thoir journey so that they may be able to stay a week or so at difforent places? Many could get away for a holiday in tho winter who could not do so in summer, and if tho cicurejonists liked to go to Molbourno j or othor ports in Australia they may be able to leavo by some boat about August and not como to Wellington. Howovor, it would give thoso a chanco in winter that can t got in summer. Hoping some pon moro able than mine may tako it up, I remain An Intending Excursionist. Wellington, 27th June.
