— : — t [by teleqraph.J [united pbesß association,] Auckland, 12th June. A meeting of shareholders in the Kaihn Valley Eailway Company (in liquidation) was held to-day. Only four shareholnera were present, and Mr. H. Brett presided. Tho report of the liquidators says:— "All the efforts of the liquidators to sell the railway have proved futile, and your liquidators regret to have to report that they are afraid that the lino and works, which coat the company upwards of JJBO.OOO, will not realise the amount due to the Government, viz., .£47,000 and the arrears of interest." After a lengthy and recriminatory discussion as to some shareholders paying calls in full and others in part, the meeting adjourned till Monday.
