A commercial convention has been Bigncd ' between the United States and Spain by which Bugar and skins will be admitted into the former country free. The examination of Collyns, the bankrupt Australian merchant, showed the liabilities to be £96,000; eeoured, £52,000; assets, £25,000. Nellie Stewart, before accepting the engagement at the Savoy, refused the principal part in " La Bossocho," the opera to be prodnoed at the Royal.
