THE VOLUNTEERS.

The final heat for the Junior Championship took place on Saturday last, at the Polbill Gully range, nnder favourable circumstances. Tho weather, although cloudy in tho afternoon, was good Bhooting weather, and consequently some very good scores were made. The Navals were vioiorioua by 16 points. On Saturday next the Guards will hold shooting competitions for A, B, and C Classes, in the long gully ranges. For A Class, 300, 500 and 600 yards; B and C Classes, 300 and 500 yards ; seven shots at each. A Class will fire with Martinis, the others with Hniders.
