Mr. Exham, British Consul at IWalonjja, has arrived and reports affairs quiet in the Islands. Papeete, Society Islands, has been formed into a municipality whioh will ensure absolute control of its own finanoos, instead of being under subjection to the French Government in this respeot. The Kaiatea natives are quiet, and there is no further action on the part of those who took to rebellion against the French. Ihe French Government are removing nearly all the troops from Tahiti by transport for Home.
