"ROUGH ON RATS"
A CASE OP ACCtoiNTAL POfSONINGf. (BT TEIiBQB4.PH. I {Our Oi6n Correipondmt.) MiSTiEfoA, Tfllß Dkt. A serious case of areenio poisoning ooourred in Maaterton yesterday. Mr. B G. Williams and his family were having porridge at breakfast, when several of the children became suddenly ill, and in a few minutes the whole family were proßtrated. Dr. Hosking was immediately sent for, and on arrival administered antidotes for poison'ng whioh were tuocesaful, inasmuch as fatnl resnlta have »p far been prevented. It appears that some, meal containing " Rongh on Bats" had been plaoed on a, shelf close to where the oatmeal tin was kept, and it is thought the two must have become mixed. Dr. Hosking believes the case to be one of arsenio poisoning The family is not yet quite out of danger, bnt it is hoped that serious results will not follow.
