Arawa, from London, arrived at 5 o'clock yesterday, and sailed at noon to-day for Wellington. She broueht 33 passengers for Australian ports, and has 74 for New Zealand. London, Bth February. Freights by Bteam cargo boats to New Zealand average 7s 6d per ton above those by Bailing vessels, and the rate ia meeting with a good deal of objection at the hands of shippers The wool Bales continue firm, and the bidding is spirited. The American wheat market shows a further advance. There are very few Ameri3in shipments. The total quantity of wool catalogued up io date is 145,600 bales, of which 138,000 lalea hare bean sold. Hides, salted, heavy ox, 3 5-lGd ; leather, jest heavy, 9d. Silver, 3s lOd per oz.
