Mr. J. Wilson, tho Chairman of the Sohool Committeo, presided, and he was supported by Messrs. G. Norbury, J. L. Bacon, W. Allan, and 0, F. Worth. The Chairman oongratalated both teaobers and soholars on the result of tho work accomplished by the ohildron during the past year. Referring to the inability of the committee to present prizoa thia year, Mr. Wilson said that some membera of tho oominittee entertaiued the opinion that prize-giving induced bitternesß and jealousy, and thorefore they thought that it would bo far better to substitute an annual nionio and if poasiblo this oourse would probably be followed on future occasions. Mr. Allan road the annual sohool report, from whioh it appeared that, aooording to the Inspector's report, the passes were 92 per cont. The attendance during the early part of the yoar had boon low, owing to the visitations of la grippe and soarlot fever. The numbor of children on tho books at the close of the year was 500. Mr. JJaoon and other members of the oommittoe having addressed the pupils, heartily wishing them a pleasant holiday, the prooeediugs oloeed.
