Royal Comic Opera Company.
Our old friend, " The Mikado," piloted by the theatrical Triumvirate who first brought him to New Zealand Bhores, will again make his appearance on the stage of the Open House to-night. The members of the Royal Comic Opera Co. arrived by this morning's Bteamera from Chrißtchurch, where they have just concluded a highly successful season. Of the original "Mikado" company of three years ago only Mr. Howard Vernon (Ko-ko), Mr. T. Grnndy (Pish-Tush), and Miss Katie Potter (Pitti-Sing) remain, bnt the remainder of the cast is made up of artistes who have won distinction both at Home and lately in the colonies, and of whose vocal and histrionic powers very flattering accounts reach us from tbe South. Tne staging and costumes are described as something excellent, as previous experience of the completeness of Messrs. Williamson, Garner and Musgrore's arrangements wonld warrant us in expecting.
