Late on Saturday night the s.s. Mana returned from the wreck cf the Koianui in the French Pass. The plants being acclimatised and of the very best varieties, the sale should attract a numerous attendance of buyers.

Dressmaking.—" Bordered dress ma-. terials are about the newest things out, and aro bound from their novelty to be much patronised." There is such an immense choice of these in our season's importations that there need be no fear of monotony. Our assortment of these beautiful fabrics, at Te Aro House, is already being muoh appreciated by the ladies ot Wellington. Dressmaking. — " A profusion of embroidery is to be the ' correot thing ' this Beason, as also bows of ribbon, finished off with long ends in front."
