(UNITXDPBBBB ASSOCIATION.) London, Ist June. Four thousand bales of sheepskins have been sold at an advance of id. Wellington hemp is quoted at .£33 10a ; Auckland, from £32 to £34 10s. Complaints are being made as to the quality of the fibre. Sydney, 2nd June. Arrived — Tekapo, from Timarn. Sailed, last night — Wakatipu, for Wellington. Albant, This Day. Arrived— Orient Co. 'sLiguria. Passenger for New Zealand— Mrs. Perritt.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following cablegram from its London office, dated 31st May, 1889:— "Tallow.— There is le-s trade demand. Good mutton is worth .£27 10s, and good beef £2& 10s per ton. New Zealand Frozen Meat. — Quotations are unchanged since last report. Mutton. — Market is firm. There is an increased demand for New Zealand lamb. Beef.— Market is improved. New Zealand Hemp. —Medium quality is worth £31 10s per ton."
