A strong directorate was formed, Mr. D. Horace Ifastinga being appointed secretary. Over 1500 shares were subscribed for in the room. It was decided that the question of making the exhibition colonial or intercolonial should be loft to the majority of the shareholders, bnt if it is to be intercolonial, another J2700 was promised. John Roberts (Murray, Roberts, & Co.), president of tile Chamber of Commerce, was appointed chairman. Those present inducted the city M.H.R.'s and representative of the leading houses in town. The opinion 1b that, now the matter has been taken up, the exhibition will take place, and as a good many promises have been received from other provincial districts, its success, so far as exhibits aro cone >rned, is an assured fact.
