Tho Kahn has arrived from tho Chatham Islands, with news of tho wrcok of the brigantino Ruahu at the islands on 24th July, she having boen driven on to a reef while trying to beat out of Owhanga, and becomo a total wreck. All hands wero saved. Sho is insured in 'the Now Zealand office for .£I3OO. An enquiry was held before the Magistrate, and the certificate of Captain Darnell, tho master, was suspended for six months.
