Mr. M'Cardlo hod a. splendid meeting at tho Gorge last night, and roceived a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence amidst prolonged cheers nnd ories of "Wo'll nut you in." « Paljierbton North, This Day. Mr. Wost obtained a vote of confidence at Taonui last night. Mr. Sanson was advertised to hold a meeting at Maugaoni, but, owing to tho very small attendance, he deoided to postpone tho meoting till next Saturday. [UNITID PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Tauranga, This Day. Captain Korr, a oandidate for Tauranga, addressed the electors last night. He came forward as an independent oandidate, but was prepared to give the Government a fair support. He advocated the abolition of the Native Department, but defended the ox. penditura on defence inourred by Government. He urged the settlement of lands and the introduction of capitalists' immigration, and was oooorded a vote of oonfidenoo, Foxton, This Day. Mr. Wilson addressed the eloctora hero last night. There was a large attendance. A motion in favour of oonfidenoo was carried by a small majority. Dunbdin, This Day. The Premier spoke at Naseby last night, and at the olose of his address a vote of thanks and confidence in tho Government was moved. An amondmont was proposod of a voto of thanks to the Promior but of no -confidence in the Government. Tho amondmont was carried by fnlly 2to 1. Mr. M'Kenzio had a discussion with the Promior lasting till midnight, and at the close received an ovation. Feilding, This Day. Mr. Macorthur has spoken at AshursJ; and _ Bunnythorpe, and received a vote of confidence at each place,
