Scarlet fever, which has been very prevalent in the metiopolis for some time past, continues to spread with alarming rapidity, and tho resources of the London hospitals are strained to the utmost. The Bank of Australasia has declared a dividend at the rate of 131 per cent, per annum, and carries forward and plaoea to the reserve the sum of .£13,000.
