Two matches were played by mixed elevens of the Phoenix and Midland olubs on the Basin Reserve on Saturday. Both were won by the Phoenix representatives, who in one case scored 131 to 36 ; while in the other the Midlandera were worsted by 153 to 121. The annual cricket match between Porirua and the second eleven of thePoneke Clnb took place at Tawa Flat on Saturday, and resulted in a victory for the city team by 14 runs. The members of the second eleven of the Poneke Clnb are requested to roll up punctually to practice during the week in view of the forthcoming Junior Cup match.
