RASHLY IMPORTUNATE.

The writer of " Notes and Comments " in the Melbourne Argus tells tho following sad story :—": — " A strange but true incident in connection with the Genevieve Ward wing of the Maternity Hospital has come to light. It will be recollected that designs were called for the new building, and a premium of £100 offered for the best design.
