? Entries for the Club Fours of the Star Boating Club close on Saturday next. The number already received is Bnfficient to form half a dozen orewa. An effort is about to be made to form a Model Yacht Club in Wellington. A meeting for the purpose of taking Btepß in the matter is to bo held next Thursday evening. The number of model yachts in Wellington is considerable, and it would be to the interests of the owners if a club were formed. One result of such a stop would, no doubt, be the holding of an annual regatta, such as takes place in other towns where model yacht clubs exist. The Committee of the Star Boating Clnb propose to increase the plant by the addition of two practice inriggea tub pairs, the want of which is being much felt. A meeting of members is to be held next week to confer the question. The race between a crew rapteaenting the Bank of Australasia %nd another selected from amongst the officers of the other banks in Wellington is to come off next Wednesday afternoon. Tho course will be li miles long. The following are the representatives of the oombined banks: — H. S. 6. Harper (bow), E. Bncholz (2), A. H. O'Brien (3), 8. E. Kennedy- (stroke). The namoa of the other crew have already been published. Mr. D. Bowie is engaged in building a pleasure boat for tho S^jarßoating Club. The heats of th.o, Novice Fours, Star Boating Club, havo, been drawn as follows :— l, Miles t. Bendall ; 2, Moriaon v. Ellison ; 3, Richardson y. M' Donald ; Burnes, a bye. "The Committee of the Star Boating Clnb have increased the number of coxswains to eight. The youngsters selected are as foU lows :— D. Hewitt, H. Cooper, F. Hume, F, Parker, A. Johnson, H.
